Boris' Past Has Finally Caught Up With Him

Its Good to be Home

Upon discharge from the vet, Boris is home and resting comfortably. Prognosis: excellent.

Boris' Ultrasound

We had a scare earlier this week. Took Boris in for a checkup and his urinalysis suggested he had a bladder infection and/or possible kidney stones. Had to take him to a different vet to get an ultrasound of his bladder (see above photo). The upper part of the ultrasound is Boris' bladder and the bottom part of the ultrasound is "noise." Fortunately his bladder was clear and no stones. While at the vet, we decided to give him the deluxe treatment: teeth cleaning and more thorough checkup. Many dollars later, Boris has clean teeth, healthy gums (but for a touch of gingivitis), a healthy bladder, some allergies and a hyperactive thyroid. He's now taking antihistamines (for about a month), antibiotics (for about 5 days for the gingivitis) and thyroid medication (forever).
